Shop Electric is a custom e-commerce platform built entirely from scratch to serve the niche market of electrical materials and KNX smart home systems in Romania. As the online store of an authorized F-tronic distributor, the platform features a deep product catalog spanning more than 12 main categories with dozens of subcategories, dual-currency pricing (RON and EUR), real-time stock management, and an interactive category map for rapid product discovery. The site was developed using custom PHP, with performance and functionality tailored to market-specific requirements that generic e-commerce platforms do not cover.
The platform features an extensive hierarchical category system with 12+ main categories and up to 50 subcategories each. Navigation is complemented by a full-screen interactive category map accessible via a pulsing quick-access button: an intuitive tree structure that helps professionals find products fast. Each category includes detailed SEO info popups with rich descriptions.
Secure payment processing through PayPal and BT Pay (Banca Transilvania), supporting both card transactions and bank transfers. Shipping is fully integrated with Fan Courier for automated AWB generation, real-time tracking, and efficient logistics across Romania. Orders are confirmed by phone before dispatch.
Dual-currency display (RON and EUR) on every product for professionals comparing EU pricing. Dedicated technical guides and downloadable datasheets for informed purchasing decisions. Actual stock levels shown transparently with live availability indicators, plus promotional bundles and a newsletter for product updates and special offers.

Extending the Shop Electric ecosystem, we developed 288.ro, a dedicated B2B wholesale distribution platform for electrical materials. While Shop Electric serves both retail and professional customers, 288.ro is designed exclusively for businesses: electricians, construction companies, and resellers. The platform features gated pricing visible only to verified companies, dropshipping capabilities for resellers, and fast fulfillment from stock. Built on the same technological foundation, 288.ro is the wholesale distribution base that supports the network behind Shop Electric.
The platform is dedicated exclusively to companies. Wholesale pricing is only visible after login and business verification, ensuring competitive rates are reserved for verified professional customers. User registration requires company details (CUI) for validation.
288.ro offers a complete dropshipping service, allowing other e-commerce businesses to sell electrical products without holding inventory. Orders are fulfilled directly from 288.ro's rapid stock, shipped to end customers under the reseller's branding, enabling scalable business growth.
