A platform built from scratch, not on a template
Skala Sports launches its football-first collections from Trier, Germany. It needed its own eCommerce platform built to the standard of established teamsport brands, not a pre-built theme. We built the entire platform from scratch: catalogue, cart, checkout, payments and admin panel, all custom, with a storefront in English and German, prices in EUR and the legal pages the German market requires, from Impressum to the right of withdrawal.
A complete platform, from storefront to back office
A catalogue with real variants
Every product has separate photo galleries per colour, stock tracked for each size variant, badges and sale prices, plus a size guide with real measurement tables.
Smart filters and live search
Faceted filtering by department, category, colour, size, price and discounts, showing only options that return results, alongside a multi-word search with live autocomplete.
Guest checkout with Stripe and cash on delivery
No account required: a slide-in cart, discount coupons and payment by card through Stripe or cash on delivery, with prices and stock re-verified on the server for every order.
A complete admin panel
Dashboard with revenue and sales charts, an order pipeline that emails the customer at every status change, product management with multi-image upload, coupons, review moderation, newsletter and a message inbox.
Settings without a developer
The shipping cost and free-shipping threshold, the SMTP email server with a test button, and the Stripe keys are all configured straight from the admin panel.
German-market compliance and SEO
Impressum, right of withdrawal, GDPR-compliant essential-only cookies, a dynamic XML sitemap, per-product meta tags, WebP images and per-page code splitting for speed.
